Frey Lawler is a Composer who writes concert and film music, with a notable bias towards the Saxophone, Piccolo, and Xylophone. Frey is heavily influenced by dramatic and programmatic film and concert composers of the 20th century, such as Sergei Prokofiev and Danny Elfman. He works mainly with experimental director, Otho Fitzsimons, for film music. He has scored all three of Fitzsimons' short films so far with the most recent, 'Eden', completed in March 2026. He is also an ex-student & frequent collaborator of British New Music Composer, Matthew Lee Knowles, featuring on Knowles' Recording of 'For Michael Finnissy' and as a registrant in the performance of 'For Samuel Beckett' a 20 hour piece for organ by Knowles. Frey is currently completing his studies of composition at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama.
